Dinner @7atenine,Ascott KL

The month of December 2012 has been good to me. That month itself I have so much things to talk about, I've finished my exams, attending wedding dinner, party, got my Hello Kitty phone and lots of makan makan session .

Two weekends ago, Boyfie and I planned to have our Christmas dinner earlier instead of having our it on during Christmas eve. Partly because we want to avoid the traffic jams and crowds.
We decided to have our early Christmas dinner at 7atenine , Ascott KL.
Our last visit was during Ladies Night invited by Bangsar Babe.
You can read it more here.

Ever since that visit, we promised ourselves that we would come back as we do love the drinks and ambience at 7atenine KL.

We chose to sit upstairs for dinner where it is more more comfortable .. quiet .. relaxing

Boyfie and I are not big eaters.

Even though we love to eat so we have just order a few dishes to try out and satisfy our hunger.

(hehe me with Neko ears)

In order to satisfy our curiosity,

For our appetizer,
We ordered Crab Salad.

It is served with deep fried crab with mesclun salad accompanied by chili cream.
The chili cream goes pretty well with the crab plus the mango where it gives the spicy and sour taste.
The best  is to eat it with the combination of all 3 ingredients together.
(crab, vege, mango)

The texture for the salad is just right where it is neither too dry or too wet.
Just perfect for me!
Will order this again if given the opportunity.

Seafood Linguine and Pommery Chicken

Seafood Linguine

Our seafood linguine cooked in aglio olio style with sauteed scallops, prawn, mussels and squid.
Yum Yum~
This is my favourite cause it is really delicious !
The aglio olio taste is just right as it is not too spicy and pepperish compare to other restaurants that I ate.
Somehow boyfie find the prawn overcook but I find it was ok.
Looking back at this photo makes me wanna go back to 7atenine and order it again.

 Pommery Chicken

Chicken breast marinated with mustard, honey and spices, served with mash potatoes and vegetables.
For this dish, I find the chicken is a bit overcook as it is kind of difficult to chew on the meat  because it was a bit hard.
However it is well manirated, as it does gives a sweet and aromatic flavour..
Boyfie like this main dish very much.

Sago Gula Melaka

Our sago is served with palm sugar, coconut milk with jack fruit.

The dessert , I actually thought it would be like the normal sago where the palm sugar and coconut milk will come in a separated bowl so that we can put adjust the sweetness and taste according to our preference.
However for this particular dish, as they already prepared for us, I do find it too sweet for my likings.

The gula melaka was too thick and sticky to be mixed with the sago which made me having a hard time stirring it with my spoon to mix .
Also I do not like the jack fruit with the sago.

I would not recommend to order this.

For the appetizers,
the price ranges from RM 20 ++ up to RM 42++
For Main Course,
the price ranges from RM 30++ up to RM 90++
Which this price range is quite normal for dining in a high end restaurant.

Service was ok.
The waiter that served us, he is really friendly and helpful.
He was attentive towards our table where each time we finish our food, he would come and clear the plates, put on new plates on our table and refilled our empty glass with water.
However the waiting time for the food, needs to be improved.

We paid over RM150++ for our meal
( 1 appetizer, 2 main dish, 1dessert, 1 bottle of mineral water RM9++)

We like their cool loungey ambience and music at 7atenine.

It is a good place for 2 to dine for occasions like Valentine, Christmas and Anniversary.

We would definitely comeback again
only for special occasions.
