Burger Junkyard @ The Strand, Kota Damansara

Been neglecting my blog for few days ! I felt so guilty that I told myself I have to make a blog post. Writing a blog is never easy. It does take a lot discipline to do so and I still got so much to learnt about it.

Its been quite a busy week for me. And when you are busy , time do fly really fast! With just a blink of an eye, Chinese New Year is just one week away!!

And I have not even done my clothing CNY shopping yet!!

Somehow I grew out of going out to shop cause I hate driving to the mall and spend rounds and rounds looking for the clothes I like so this year, all my CNY clothes are gonna be done through Online. Simple.

Search, click and buy * Ta-dah!!! My shopping is done!

I been getting calls for job interviews~!

Two weeks ago I was so worried that I'm gonna be unemployed and thought nobody wants me. Until one fine day, an unknown number called "Hello , Can I speak to Michelle please?"
I was so happy to receive that call! Ever since that day my phone kept ringing non-stop, arranging for appointments and interview.

This is one of the phase that I have to endure and go through as a fresh graduate looking for jobs and it did really made me feel very sad when I submit my resume out and no one calls me. However after waiting for few days, the employers do called back!
All I have to do is to be patient and wait a little longer.

Back to the title!

After trying myBurgerlab (you can read my previous post here) , my next Burger stop was Burger Junkyard which is located at the Strand, Kota Damansara.

The Burger Junkyard concept is quite similar to Fat Boys Burger at Publika , brown buns and uniquely interior design.

Judging from its name, Burger "Junkyard", the whole idea is to make the shop look like a Junkyard.
Its creative and best part about this place compare to myburgerlab is that you do not have to queue that long for your burgers and worrying to get a place to sit!

Let's take a look at the menu, shall we?
I like taking pictures of menus whenever I visit the restaurant because it is a good way to refer back and plan what to eat next time I want to visit the same place again!
Also for readers, who have not been to the restaurant may have a rough idea what the restaurant serves and choose to go there or not.

Let's take a look at the menu, shall we?
So here is a sneak peak of Burger Junkyard's Menu.

If you compare the menus with myburgerlab, Burger Junkyard has less choices. The burgers at Burger Junkyard are more on a classic flavour side which is not so crazy compare myburgerlab.

The drinks at Burger Junkyard are not refillable. They are sold in cans where you can get it at the cashier when you place your order.
After placing your order, you will be given a FAT RAT labelled with a number which is your order number. The FAT RAT here is an indicator like the one you see in SNOWFLAKE the UFO thingy, however in this case the fat rat does not vibrate. LOL

(While waiting for the burger)

We ordered the Hoola Hoop Hawaii  and the Brooklyn Burger.

Similarly like myburgerlab, the burgers are served in basket with fries.
However the burger size do looks a bit small compare to myburgerlab though they have the same presentation.

Hoola Hoop Burger (RM14.90)

Contains Lettuce, Tomatoes, Smoked Turkey Ham, Grilled Pineapple, Tangy Cocktail Dressing.
Though it is not a charcoal bun , the brown crisp bun here still taste pretty nice as it is grilled and buttered. It's a chicken burger , the patty they serve is pure Chicken breast meat , actually it’s a whole leg meat (clarified by Nick from Burger Junkyard)

But overall it is quite okay and acceptable. Its still tasty.

Boyfie's Burger.
I did take a little bite to find out the taste.

Brooklyn Burger (RM15.90)
For the brooklyn burger, you can have a choice of choosing chicken or beef.
Boyfie took the chicken patty because he can't eat beef.
Contains chicken patty, smoked turkey ham, grilled pineapple, tomato, onions, fried egg, and aioli.

For this burger, I find it very very similar to my hoola hoop hawaii burger but it taste so much better than my burger because of the fried egg.
With the egg , the burger is less dry and it adds in more flavour to the burger as you eat the egg yolk with the pineapple.

Nothing to brag about. Its edible.
Comparing with myburgerlab , myburgerlab fries are much more better.

I do hope Burger Junkyard can improve on their fries, afterall a good burger always match up together with good fries !

All in all , I find that their burgers are okay and I would want come back to try their Grilled Ratatouille and Texas Hold Me.

Dear Burger Junkyard, if you are reading this, I do hope you can save up some $$ to invest in drinks dispenser machine and then offer refillable drinks.
Cause after eating your burger, I feel so thirsty!
